End Of The Road Festival 2007
| Information | This intimate 3-day festival is organised by Simon and Sofia, who are two friends so passionate about music that they decided to put on their own festival with their favourite artists. It’s the last festival of the whole summer and won an award for best newcomer in the UK festival awards 2006. It caters for about 5,000 people and takes place between the 14 - 16th September at the beautiful Larmer Tree Gardens on the borders of Wiltshire and Dorset, UK. The Larmer Tree Gardens is about 2.5-3 hours drive from London, it is near Shaftesbury and also fairly close to Stonehenge and Salisbury. It’s a beautiful venue with gorgeous views and with peacocks and huge parrots roaming / flying around freely both inside the gardens and in the field. At the End of the Road festival we take a lot of interest in all the ‘little things’ that make a great festival, such as good food (organic / local / fair trade), good beer, recycling / environmental care, lots of toilets, caring & well-mannered staff etc. Apart from all the amazing bands, making an appearance is also the lovely Somerset Cider Bus, which is usually one of the highlights at the Glastonbury festival. We will also be serving quality beers, a selection of real ales and your usual spirits. As one of the festival organisers is Swedish, there will also be a Scandinavian feel to the festival with a Scandinavian showcase of up and coming Nordic talent. But it won’t stop at that, there will also be Swedish Kopparbergs Cider and other Scandinavian treats such as playing the old Viking game Kubb. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
